This series of shots was taken in the spring of a woodpecker and her fledgling. Mama was hunting for food and feeding her little one. As I was snapping photos, the neighbor's cat was also under the tree hoping for a snack if the fledgling should fall.

There is no sweeter moments in nature than these...I adore watching the daddy Cardinals bring in the young ones to my feeders for the first time...so so precious.
